Deeper in You, where I want to be
Higher in You, that I might see
The ways of God, not known to men
Greater ways, to comprehend
Living a life, of mercy and grace
Helping another, with trials they face
Bringing a smile, a simple hug
To strengthen them, and to plug
That little hole, where their hope leaks out
Stopping the flow, when they’re drowning in doubt
Finding a place, to hold them up
Repairing the crack, within their cup
Renewing the peace, that they so need
Giving them space, to process and cleave
To You, O God, I’ll point the way
For only in You, they, from stone turn to clay
Where You can mold, and shape to Your will
An honorable vessel, where true grace doth fill.
