Break Down the Walls

Help me break down the walls I’ve built, For I am surrounded by guilt.

I desire more of You in my life, I need Your presence to be my light.

Shine that light upon my sins, That I may repent from deep within.

To be cleansed of all unrighteous deeds, And walk in Your love, that’s what I need.

It says in Your word if I confess my sin, You are faithful and just to forgive, cleansing within.

So that is what I do right now, I ask Your forgiveness as best I know how.

No matter how small the deed may seem; It needs the blood that was shed by Thee.

Therefore I repent of all those deeds, Thoughts and desires that sadden Thee.

Forgive me today and wash away, All the stains that stand in my way.

For these were the walls that separated me, But because of Your faithfulness, now I am free.
