Thank You for the Rain

Dear Father, thank You for the rain that has deposited its life giving qualities into my garden rain barrels. That liquid gold that replenishes the plants in my gardens is so appreciated when days have been dry and hot. Thank You for Your Spirit that bring rivers of living water to my soul (mind) and spirit. Situations of life drain me at times and I to become parched and in need of Your life giving water. I become as that deer panting for water and thus crave to spend more time with You. It is Your Spirit by which I am refreshed and ready to take on each situation and circumstance that comes my way. Your Spirit, O God, is life to me, it is strength to me, and it is hope. Your hope that I know will not disappoint is foundational to my life and walk with You. Thank You that You lead me besides still water to acquire refreshment and determination to walk in those paths You desire for me. May I become ever more sensitive to the call of Your Spirit to stop and take in Your nutrition for my soul. Your written words are before me and I choose to hear and obey when it’s convenient and when it is not. Thank You for restoring my soul.
